it sounds like you are talking from a phone, not very film oriented

I'm really enjoying your videos. I'll check out your website sometime. I have arthritis in my hands and all over really. I need a good, light, tripod and fluid head that has easy to use lever locks or some such, because twisting type leg locks hurt my finger joints--any ideas ??? (for cameras weighing 1 to 4 lbs.)
By: MichaelBradus. on 27 Apr 08, 05:36:56
You should try to post this with stereo audio. The video just has to be in flv format or something like that.
By: maskedmosher. on 18 Apr 08, 10:36:39
you should film a loud heavy metal show ith a lot of distortion and gain. thats what i normaly shoot. if it can handle that without that kkggrrrhhh ughhhhh sound that would be the ultamate test.
By: dvestore. on 18 Apr 08, 02:44:34
Nope, but we do have the hama/delv dual shoe adapter if you later want to add a camera light. See the other vid on the MKE400 and Litepanels micro to see it in action.

If I were to put this on my HV20 would I need anything special to attach it to the hot-shoe?
By: dvestore. on 10 Mar 08, 21:53:28
I'd see if you could tap into the sound board. Since the DVX has XLR input, I'd probably look at a RODE M3. It's big to put on the camera, but for $200, it would work nicely, on a stand would be better. Do a search on our site for M3 and use the coupon code "take5" for a discount.

what would be the best microphone to use? i want to record loud music in small venues i have a panasonic ag-dvx100p
By: boostcpa26. on 04 Mar 08, 19:21:56
oh ok ^_^ but i forgot to mention that im going to have the audio recorded separately on to a MicroTrack II...still which one would u recommend best for in/outdoors.
By: dvestore. on 04 Mar 08, 16:13:32
It depends on if you're shooting indoors or outdoors and what camera you are using. RODE SVM works good indoors and outdoors if your camera only has 1/8" miniplug input. The XLR based NTG-2 works best outdoors and you may need a BeachTek XLR adapter. The RODE NT3 hypercardiod works better indoors if your camera has XLR.
By: boostcpa26. on 04 Mar 08, 15:29:01

Nice Video, now I have got one, but I have the problem, that I want to get an cabel, for records with a larger distance. How do you get the symmetric signal to the camera? Thanks
By: dvestore. on 02 Mar 08, 08:05:13
It's the headset mic until 00:24 when I say "If you really want to hear the quality of this microphone..." We always intro the show with a lav or headset, just like any newscast. My apologies if that was not abundantly clear - the RODE SVM is not demonstrated in the video until I get up and announce that it is now on.
By: solrosenburg23. on 01 Mar 08, 23:08:55
Is the beginning of this video when you're sitting down recorded with the SVM or the mic on your face? Also, is this a good dialogue mic? Thanks in advance.
