I have the Speed HD7z ($200-250) which is the same camera pretty much and the picture in well lighted areas is stunning. The only con is that the zoom is a bit noisy. But the picture is crystal clear.

dxg567vhd is a piece of junk. I got one from costco and right out of the box it froze up. had to take the batteries out to get it to turn off, wouldnt play back or do anything - twice. tried to call support and the recording said no in is here to help though I was within the hours specified. Its going back, sadly. Be ware of this company.

The quality is good but not good enough to shoot a small film. You need a large amount of light to use it and the audio sucks you have to be up really close to hear them. The screen breaks really easy and the battery compartment will also break if you dont take care of it if you are using a tripod. basicly good for the net not for any dvd or tv use.

I had some decent luck with my DXG but it's not my favorite. The still shots it takes kind of suck but the video I'm not entirely disappointed with but it does take some getting used to with having to format the video and everything.
