Our government authorized the existance of the Fed. Congress and the Senate need to be held accountable for thier actions now and for nearly 100 years of fraud perpetrated against the American people to the benefit of banks and corporations. The problem is the Federal Reserve. We don't need it. We never did. It caused the problem in the first place. Private bankers printing our money,charging us an interest rate on top of it. The more money they print,the bigger our deficeit gets. We need more money printed because the deficeit keeps rising. This brings inflation. Our paper money system is controlled by private bakers,not the U.S. Government. This illusion must stop. We should print our own money,separate from private institutions

Yes, all of the market should be regulated. I used to be a home equity officer at a bank. There are guidelines and regulations for everything you do in order to ensure that transactions are handled with accuracy and transparency. The problem with the Republican push for deregulation is that it removes the safeguards that protect the consumer from being conned, misinformed, or losing their assets through negligence. Without those safeguards in place I could simply rip you off with impunity.

That's not true. The government never said they would back up credit default swaps. They just allowed these things to be made and traded outside normal government regulation and trusted that these companies would use them in an ethical way. Big mistake apparently.

Yes, regulate the market. 1999 Gramm-Leach-Blaley Act made credit default swaps possible. Deregulation allowed traders to create insurance with no assets backing it up - legally. We agree. This doesn't quite synch up with your emphasis on the CRA and your insistence that deregualtion wasn't the culprit. Care to explain?

Here's something you might not have known. Paul Gilbert wrote the song Viking Kong in the key of A minor so that Yngwie Malmsteen could be a guest soloist on the song. Malmsteen is actually incapable of improvising over anything unless it's in the key of A minor, and as we all know, that in itself can get pretty repetitive. Obviously, if you ever heard the song Viking Kong, it's all Paul. Yngwie didn't own up to the offer, and has denied ever being involved with Paul other than for a photoshoot.
