I personally hate iphone and ipod and all their products. they've generated too much crap to sort through over the years. Android is more like something I can expect to become a widely used OS especially since its open source. Once again, excellent show. Steve do you think the soon release of the N85 is a bonehead move since the N85 can do 90% of what the N96 can do, save for more memory and the digital tv, useless unless you are in europe? Also the N96 has a slightly bigger screen, but the N85 has a better OLED screen.

i have the n82, and i prefer it over the n95 because: -xenon flash- great pictures all the time -there are no moving parts- the slider is a vurnable thing on a phone, and even more, the foil that contains the circuits. even so the 6110 navi has the best slider of all nokia -the screen is protected by transparent plastic cover- if you pres againts the n95's screen, the imige is "bending" idealy: it could use a touch screen, LED(s), plastic cover for the flash. great phone. great show

wow, i thought you would slate the N96 but we get a nicely calm and slightly positive view. I too am split between a N96 and N85 (E71 as plan B), but the hardware playback of video on the N96 has me really impressed. I have a habit of playing back full DIVX and FLV videos on my N95 in transit and so far its coped well, but it struggles on really meaty bitrates and resolutions. what do you think?

N85 is probably your best option. Although nothing touches the N93 still for a lot of photo and all video work. It's an absolute classic. Most of this show is shot on my N93.

Hi Steve, soon Im going to upgrade my N93 to one of the latest N series devices but Im not sure what I should go for. Yeah I think Android (or any open OS) has the potential to be great. The only problem was that they were trying to rush the phone out, pre-production firmware and reference design... that's totally how the US rolls?
