Thats great and its important to help others, but you need to understand Queen Elizabeth II has done alot to help charities (not just in raising money). She is also brings happiness to alot of people, 10000s who have met her remember it, and treasure such memories. Yes you have, but I do not know if the US is any different in this, a great many nations, even ones we may no longer think of as good or democartic, have used that system as a republic, and ultimately it has led to often led to their collapse or worse, atrocities. I remember that in "Bubbles," her autobiography, Beverly Sills said that she would not sing the title role in "Madame Butterly" because that character was so passive. Watching her as the powerful, dynamic Queen Elizabeth I makes perfect sense in this context.
