I have a Zenith DTT990, and so far where I live, I only have 8 channels, including the FUNimation Channel. some days I can pick up more stations, like WNEP, WVIA and the CW affiliates from NEPA, but they fade away during the morning. And I can't even get WYOU or any of the Binghamton stations on it just yet. Oh, well, I guess they'll all be fully Digital before February 2009. And I'll be ready!

I bought 2 converter boxes from Best Buy. The first was an Insignia NS-DXA1 which I got in April 2008 upon recieving my 2 coupons. I wanted to wait to purchase my 2nd box incase a newer one might include programable channel switching. The first unit is connected to my VCR with the RCA plugs and I always have to remember to switch channels on the Converter box to record the program I want to record. (continued next comment....)

Yes, they're essentially the same box and the 901 has analog pass through. Also, some of the earliest 900's had audio problems; I believe Zenith created the 901 to distinguish later models that no longer had the audio issue. I have a 900 and it works great (no audio problems).

I happen to have a DTT900, which I bought at the local Radio Shack. Out where I live (Catskills/Hudson Valley), I can basically pick up about 8 digital channels, including FUNimation Channel (an all-anime network). Sometimes I get 14 stations from Northeastern PA (WNEP, WVIA WSWB and an ION affiliate), but the signal always fades away in the morning. Maybe I need to buy a stronger outdoor antenna that I can use indoors. Works great! Wish I'd bought another one like it...

This can be a pain, but have someone in the house tune to the channel you want to receive. Then, tell them to press the "SIGNAL" button on the DTT900 remote. A signal strength indicator will appear on the screen and will beep to indicate strength. Being to rotate the antenna slowly until you find the spot where the signal strength is the strongest. Alternatively, if possible, you can try moving the antenna to a different location and repeat the rotation process.
