Interesting point. I like Samhain better than the Misfits too. For the Misfits, I like Danzig's voice better than Graves but Graves brings more energy so I am slowly coming around to him. Anyway, I LOVE Samhain.

Well if the division was originally 4 why did you say 8? There was and is traditionally only 4 divisions of the year in all the Celtic speaking nations (Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine, and Lughnasadh), what's point in adding more? If you're going to start adding holidays that aren't Celtic in anyway, why not add Thanksgiving too? Makes no sense at all...

Lol I never said it originated in Scotland that came from you. Its actually a pre-celtic festival Samhain actually translates as november or (an t-Samhain) feast month. Oh and I know what Féile na Marbh is as I'm a Gael. Halloween is actually an amalgam of a day of religious festivities in various northern European Pagan traditions. So again its not restricted to Ireland or originated there. Halloween draws from pagan traditions not a singular Gaelic one.

Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture its a celtic festival and not resricted TO Ireland and its doubtful it originated there. Its FAR FAR older than the written record (ie Ulster cycle). Etymology of the word is Old Gaelic but the culture and origin isnt.

Why do you "Conservative Christians of the fundamentalist type" ruin it all for us. All streams lead to one river, Jesus is another avatar of God. There is no Satan, and there is no hell. Wicca is a beautful religion and it is deeply rooted in the past. Also, these women are very beautiful and I respect them fully!
