Its a very clever trick. The armourer took a round that was live, yes. But, all the opther rounds were PFC caps (look like real rounds, but are in fact, blanks). James did pick at random, but no matter which one he could choose, they are all blanks, as the armourer shot the only live shot. Thats why the armourer chose it, as he knew which one was the only live one!

While i do believe that 99% of Derren's stuff is real, I am fairly confident that this one isnt. If it were me instead of that guy, I would have chosen number 3, because I like the number three, and I always pick the number three in situations where I have to pick a number. So, if this were real, he would have assumed that I picked "1" because of his hints, and he'd end up dead. The Russian military is hugely more unique than our very own U.S, military do to a few things they have. They have the most advanced attack heli(The Black Shark) their main battle tank I believe is almost as good as ours, their Spetsnaz are better trained than our special forces, save they don't have the best equipment. First reported in the 1920s, but becoming more widespread among WWII British aviators.
