I have no problem with them reusing bread and butter and anything that hasn't been in contact with people's saliva. And don't come with wimpy talk about hygiene or deontology. All germs are killed by the cooking temperatures anyway. You'd be shocked to see how much perfectly good food is being thrown away by restaurants and supermarkets.
