I watched Eva again this summer. It's a real good show, but things still just don't make sense completely. Like, why are the Angels attacking humanity? Is it supposed to be God's vengence, or was there never even a reason given for it? Also, who exactly is Rei? Is she really emotionless angel hybrid waiting to kill humanity, or is there more to her? The last third of the show was just so confusing to me. I haven't seen the movies though, so that might be part of the problem I'm having.

I don't see much of Akira's presence in Eva, in fact, Evangelion is cited to have broken the trend that Akira was apart of, where only anime with heavy western influences were being successful (Akira is sourced with American comic books). Shinji's name came from a guy who worked on Sailor moon, Asuka was a heroine from some manga even Anno himself doesn't recall, besides that, Anno's early work, and Ideon, there's not much else anime-wise, most of what's left came from literary works. the second half of hot fuss goes a bit down hill whereas the whole of sams town is at a better standard i.e andy your a star, midnith show are a bit weak. under the gun and the ballad of michael valentie should have been there instead

i hear that a lot. i loved Hot Fuss. i LOVED Sam's Town. and i'm obsessed with Sawdust. so i figure they can only keep going up. and it's also true that they lack the Killers flair in live performances ironically. i'm sure Day&Age won't disappoint.

Hm... I don't really care much for this. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Killers, I'm obsessed, but its just not as good as some of their other stuff. You just can't top Hot Fuss. Can't wait for this CD, though!

so i reread the interview (search smoking section rolling stone killers day and age), and i made the comment remembering the quote wehre he said it would be like "looking at sams town from mars," and that they are trying to change their sound, but you were right they did say continuation, but never sequel, and i never saw the next one like hot fuss, they wouldnt plan that, they like reinventing themselves

although this is an anime it really made me confused.....i didnt watch the whole series i just stopped but i can tell that it made me look everything in different ways....this is a really philosoficall story and creepy..by the way the intro with the tree it really gives some chills and scares lol
