But I do watch that other MMA show WEC Wreckcage on that VS channel, and I got to see a former WCW wrestler Tank Abbot get his ass beat. just did a bit more research of anthony mundine and his reseme is certainly not impressive he is the example of a fighter who has been matched up with the easiest options available over the hill average fighters like ellis and guys who are barely average boxers,and undersized guys like mcleod just got access to a old forum and apparently he isnt very popular his record is great but his opponents are seriously lacking in qaulity

strict boxing technique doesnt help much in MMA. I learnt that personally the hard way. Fedor's punching technique in MMA works wonders. Probably wouldnt work in boxing, under boxing rules and with boxing gloves. Big nog doesnt punch like a boxer in MMA matches e.g. even though the Cuban olympic boxing team rate him like a God. for what its worth, i dont think pacqiou is from a serious muay thai background. im still awaiting your explanation of Anthony Mundine however.

No becouse he studied Muay thai. When he first came up it was talked about then when MMA became more popular that stoped talking about it. Arlovski might suck at boxing but it does not change the fact that he has been offered more to BOX than what UFC is willing to pay him to fight in MMA. It has nothing about how good he is it has to do with what they are willing to pay him. Most of the top HW are not in UFC becouse of PAY. If boxing can pay them more that is where they will go good or not.

The most impactful punch ever recorded is 2400 psi (by Chuck Liddell actually! mike tyson was second with around about 2200 from memory). any day of the week *I* could walk down to the science institute in london and record 2600+ with a roundhouse. Bruce Lee's famous sidekick (measured at 4600psi) is the force of a truck hitting your head at 60mph. Punch = weakest. Useful weapon, but the weakest.

Does a kick not strike? Does an knee not strike? Does an elbow not strike? The punch is in fact the weakest of the four main strike groups. But if you're defining a 'strike' as a punch only, then your argument holds. Boxers *are* the best punchers (and often by large margins). But you would find it very difficult to find anyone else to agree with that definition. A strike is a strike.

Give them the opening spot of the PPV & let 'em go. Abyss/Morgan/Ray/Devon/Kong/Foley = Monster's Ball - I got a crazy idea with this one. Keep them as allies, all the way until Slammiversary, where the desires to be/stay champion, outweighs their respect for one another. During KoTM, AJ and JOE are battling on the ladder with the TNA championship, but JOE edges out AJ for the victory. It's a bit much to have JOE win KoTM, back to back, but it sets up the big BFG ME and opens JOE up to turn heel, as well. Have AJ jump through hoop after hoop, to get his match with JOE at BFG, their first 1 on 1 heavyweight championship match.

And it's a similar idea with what I'd like to see for the JOE/AJ build up. AJ and JOE have been battling against each other since 2005, so there's some level of respect between the two. JOE defends the title at BFG and AJ gets a big win, I'd put an Iron Man match with Angle at BFG. From that point on, you ally AJ and JOE against the rest of the heel roster, Angle, Booker, Nash, Jarrett, Roode, etc.

Champions retain in the rematch, then lose the belts in the 3rd match, turning heel. The fourth match, the "blowoff", would then be Ultimate X. Not sure what I would want as the finish, but you get the idea. You've turned LAX/MCMG into a good 4 month feud, before really committing to the heel/face dynamic, which can add a couple months to the feud.

Personally, I think you can take LAX/MCMG and JOE/AJ, both face/face feuds, a decent length, before changing things up a bit. You can tease the first LAX/MCMG match, and then have Team 3D, who you had feuding with LAX, interfere with the match, to get the non-finish. Run short three-way feud, with Team 3D putting MCMG over huge, and then move Team 3D to something completely new. From here, you now have your top two teams, and you could have the first match, at BFG, with the draw finish.

I agree completely,the fact that Hunter would go to management and push for Cena to retain his title over Edge at Royal Rumble 06 to then insert himself at Mania as Cena's opposition is a true testament of his own Ego.Not withstanding the promo he did shortly after Mania stating he took a nap during Edge's reign which did nothing but make Edge seem like a transitional champion and inferior in the pecking order of heels at the time.Saddly enough,Hunter still pulls this crap to this very day!

I agree with the justified/valid opinions view. Soem could say they think HHH is the best ever cos he has 12 titles at this time(and eventually will eclipse Ric Flair). IMO that is not really a reason to think someone is greatest. He wins so many titles cos of his connections with Vince, not cos he's the best. Plus he's also lost the title a lot of times.

This is how you settle an arguement on a bad or good PPV E.g If the last 2 PPV's of No Mercy was 3 stars or under and the rest of the PPV's sucked then the ppv was poor overall but if the last 2 PPV's got 4 stars or over and the others sucked then the PPV's was not great but okay to good the least. I think people should not judge a PPV as sucked only if every single match was bad.Everyone has the right to have opinions but if their not what some 1 else agrees with you have rights to argue.

The Abyss character is getting old, but I don't see taking off his mask and turning him into a talking heel, freshening it up all that much. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what Abyss can come up with, without the crutch of the tacks and weapons. I kind of see what you're trying to do, but I just think that things are being rushed. i think that leading into BFG you have too many rematches on the card. Also I think "stealing" the rumble idea is awful as now you have ripped off an idea and this idea will result in the exact same thing as the WWE which is to main event the big show. I just think this is awful. I also think the ABC's most important ruling was the clarification of what is an illegal elbow strike and what is an illegal strike to the back of the head. After that Marquart fight at 85 and especially the Lesnar fight, its nice to see some clarity (The mowhawk rule vs the headphone rule) yet, the CSAC said today thaty they'll use the Headphone rule? All this politics is tbe downfall of the sport, if promotions worked together we'd see the best matchups in all divsions.

Personally, I don't care for weight classes at all. If I had it my way, there wouldn't be any weight classes and anybody could fight anybody at any time. If you had to have weight classes though, I'd only have like, three or four really. More than that and you'll miss out on a lot of great fights.

I thought every Wrestlemania was at least a 6. In fact my least favourite WM was this past year's. My favourite Manias were 6,12,13,18,20 and 21. WM 9 was a great Wrestlemania for me, my favourite feud of all time happened there Mr. Perfect vs the Narcissist Lex Luger. Luger was badass as the Narcasissist. The outdoor rome feel was cool too...

why WM 9 need not be metioned??? and why wm 11 nope?? plus savage vs.steamboat at WM 3 was not that great a match.....Hogan vs. Bundy(in a cage) at WM 2 was better not only was it better but it was the greatest match of all time not just in Wrestlemania history but in the history of wrestling....

While I agree with you, I disagree on WrestleMania 14. I thought it was solid, especially in contrast to embrassing history of much of early WrestleMania. LHW title match was nice little filler. Mix-Tag was not half-bad. Owen-HHH was fairly good. Tag match was fun, for what is was. Taker-Kane was good. Austin-Michaels was great stuff. Not only that, I think it is important note that this is one rare occassions of the "modern" WrestleMania events where ALL of the titles were defended.

I liked WrestleMania XV for the background of the feuds going into it, but I have to say that WrestleMania XIX was my favorite. Austin vs. Rock, Angle vs. Lesnar, McMahon vs. Hogan, HBK vs. Y2J. I just wish Undertaker could've been in a better match and Kane and RVD's Tag Team Title match should've been on the card instead of the Miller Lite Girls. Other than that it was great from the location to the matches.

Wrestlemania 14 was amazing, I can't believe Truthslayer fails to acknowledge it... but to each his own, I guess. all I know is at the time (and still) Triple H vs. Owen Hart, The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock (even with the finish), The Dumpster Match, Kane Vs. Undertaker, and Stone Cold vs. Shawn Michaels... are still fresh matches! CLASSIC! Those were like four of my favorite feuds in the WWE's history --- if not their most classic.
