I wish the saber combat system is like that of kotor2 with some new kinks from this game like when ur enemies hp is low and u press the required buttons to finish the battle. But the combat saber lock on is sorta weak, well this is just opinion anyway. The game is still pretty good.

nice movie, but so many "errors" 1. NASA would never launch 2 shuttles that close to each other, and within such a small timeframe! way too dangerous! 2. at 5:52 the shuttles separated from both the SRB (solid rocket boosters) AND the external tank at the same time while the shuttle first separates from the SRBs and only later on it separates from the external tank 3. you don't fly to dock with the space station with the MAIN ENGINES on, it's a delicate maneuver, retro boosters wouldn't cope!

Fuel slosh also known as pogo, causes a linear oscillation not the kind of gyration you see here. Watch closely at 4:12 the staging of the rocket is what actually causes the issue. The first stage slams into the nozzle, causing the rocket to veer off course, at that point guidance takes over and begins gimbaling the engine to attempt to correct this problem, it begins to over correct and the mission is aborted. At least this is what we came up with in my special topics physics 399 course :)

M1C (1st stage engine) nozzle is stainless steel, it uses the fuel (RP-1) as the regen fluid. Only the 2nd stage engine nozzle is niobium. The "hot spots" on the 2nd stage nozzle are nothing to worry about. Niobium can take it. Yes, it's very well designed. :-)

They didn't "lose telemetry" until the engine died due to fuel starvation (not shown in this vid). The oscillations at the end are the start of uncompensated (or poorly compensated) fuel slosh, which eventually leads to engine starvation. Surprisingly, even with the fuel slosh issue, it remained on its trajectory while gyrating and oscillating, a testament to the rest of their GNC algorithm.

The 5 Rocketdyne R1s on the Saturn pushed over twice as much power as the space shuttle. The fuel they used was Kerosene (Refined Diesel) and an oxidizer (Oxygen which you see being released at the last minute before launch) that's also why the smoke is so black when it's immediately leaving the nozzles. Pretty smart because fuel that is not completely burned is actually cooler than the stuff that is burning just a little further below, thus preventing the bottom of the rocket from melting.

This is, fortunately, not really true. The plans still do exist on microfilm. You would never build it again, though, as all the tooling is gone, and while advanced for its time, it is technology from the 1960s which is entirely different from more modern desings. Lets hope they do build the Ares-V, though.

Well, where I can buy it, the HTC Touch Diamond is 6x cheaper than the iPhone. The total cost of the iPhone is approx. 1150$, while the Diamond is only 180$. That's a huge difference. It has plenty of functionality. It can do almost everything the iPhone can! Text works flawlessly, thanks to the optional keyboard layout. However, I would agree that a larger screen would have been better! Plenty of cool applications. Take TomTom 7 navigation as an example. The iPhone doesn't have TomTom (yet).

That's right, the little black "hole" on the booster is the SRB separation motor (a small solid rocket firing for 1-2 seconds) and it points directly towards the camera. In recent launches, the camera is mounted below that sep. motor.

Am not an expert on this but to the best of my knowledge, the blurriness is temporary and it's due to the solid boosters' seperatoin (@ 2:27 it's about time), I have seen more videos of similar STS launches, the recording normally continues even after the main tank seperates with the monuted camera still sending.

Easy, check out the sequence when the feet at the base plate of the rocket flod up into protective covers. They do get scorched and I bet some of it required replacement before the next launch, but it is my understanding that most of this launch pad was used multiple times.

Whenever I see these launches, I wonder how much of the launch area and equipment is destroyed on each launch. Those short towers for example that you see at 0:50 and again at 1:07 and later. Do they survive the launch? Or are they cooked and disintegrated by the blast? And what about other equipment like the swinging arms that attach the rocket to the tower? Do they survive fully intact? Does anyone know what's actually reusable and what isn't?

They made (3) more Saturn V rockets that never launched. The program was cancelled in the early 70's. You can see one of them at the Kennedy Space Center, hanging from the ceiling in a hanger museum. I'm not sure what happened to the other two, but I think one is at the Johnson Space Center. The effort speaks for itself. No nation has duplicated it (going to the moon). When you think of what they did in 1969 with basically no computers (primative calculators), its even more amazing.
