I agree that rap and hip-hop are the worst kinds of music there are, this song is a masterpiece. I don't even have kids, I am a teenager. I listen to a lot of classic rock and so many other things (but not Eminem or Britney Spears, in fact [along with Miley Cyrus] these two are my worst enemies) I guess my favorite would have to be Joni Mitchell or Joe Cocker. I'd have loved to have gone to Woodstock; however I was born 20 years after. I guess I forgot to say that I was kidding but I meant to.

yes thank you. ringo's songs were some great ones, but they came few and far between. paul and john wrote songs like "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Little Help..." just for Ringo. They helped Ringo out on "What Goes On" for Rubber Soul, and Ringo's only other ones were "Don't Pass Me By" on the Beatles and "Octopus's Garden" on Abbey Road.

There are bands out there who still do real rock and roll, but they're all underground. Two bands that are real come to mind, Radio Moscow and Ride The Blinds. Both great. Made by musicians who aren't interested in all this mainstream crap either. It still suprizes me how big The White Stripes got, for kids to start embracing blues rock again was a real shock. I thought they would lead us into the new decade, and they did....briefly.

Well actually Lennon and McCartney wrote the song but Ringo sang it. Ringo didn't get his first sole writing credit until "Don't Pass Me By" on "The White Album" in 1968.

no dumb shit the beatles recorded the original for sgt peppers in 1967, written by Lennon and mcCartney. Cocker's cover was recorded in 1968, and last i checked thats a year AFTER. woodstock was in 1969. have i made my point?
