i know its traditionally held that bill evans' greatest trio was with scott lafaro and paul motian, but sometimes i actually like this one better, even though they only elaborated on the innovations the other cats put in place - i think its because these guys seem more grounded and lively, yet they don't lose any of that special introspection. such an incredibly intimate sound, yet it swings so hard.

@Hildovar if your conception of jazz is supposed to glamour then yea its not the life for you. plus theres plenty jazz musicians that were clean Hank Jones recently died this past year and never touched anything another hero of mine Keith Jarrett lives a clean life as far as i know Oscar Peterson didnt do anything bad either. Ahmad Jamal arguably Miles Davis' favorite pianist was clean. And throughout my travels i have yet to meet a jazz musician today who regrets their life. good day to you sir

My first taste of jazz music was the verve album in 1988, I was 17. I have been a connoisseur of jazz every since. Later in my early twenties I looked for this song and realized that I did not remember the artist nor the title. It took me over 15 years to find it, I was just dabbling and happened to be at a record store and came across the title, it sounded familiar. I asked the clerk to play it for me, and he did..... It was just as I remembered it 22 years earlier.. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
