If no insurance, then you'll need to speak with the dr/office manager to find out prices; if they offer discounts for people with no insurance(alot of docs do) and if they'd work out a payment plan. Any type of incision will usually leave a scar. Sometimes just a fine line. If what you have is a sebaceous cyst, do not try to sqeeze it to drain it. Although, it may drain on it's own. They can be painful when they are inflamed. They can be removed after the inflamation has healed. With it on your face, the best thing would be for a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to remove it - those docs would make better scars. As far as cost goes.........

Having only three threads is one of the reasons to buy a chris king lock ring. They go into the hub body deeper then the regular lockrings from shimano and sram. You can get them in either titanium or aluminum and you only need to buy it once. I have a titanium one and it is definitely an improvement on the standard one that came with my xt cassette.

Okay, sounds like the prawls that engage the hub body got packed full of gunk and stayed stuck in the down position and wouldn't engage the interal points. It might not be a bad idea to just hose that body out with carb-cleaner and re-pack with a light grease that works in very cold weather. Synthetic oil is fine for a temporary fix, but it won't stay in place like a good grease will...

True, it actually it used to bind in reverse last year so i used motorcycle chain lube throughout the chain & gearset, it worked but started to stick & get clogged. By Failure i meant that it would simply quit locking the forward motion completely & leave you stranded right there, as if the chain fell off the gears. I lubed the set with mobil one 5w30 full synthetic & rode 30 mins in -15 C/ 5 F without a failure.

If you can physically rock the gears back and forth with your hand and you feel play, there is something wrong. If you have a cassette, the lockring might be loose. If you have a free-wheel, then the free-wheel itself is probably worn out. There is a HUGE difference between free-wheel and cassette style free-hub bodies.

It is a plate looking thing, but it has 12 grooves in it to correspond with the 12 splines on the lockring tool. What you are describing sounds like a freewheel, not a cassette style free-hub.

My short answer would be no. I hate to see good parts get boogered up, but you "can" do it with vise-grips, a hammer, and a screw driver. You will damage the parts though... If you're going to convert to a single speed and use the free-hub body and just run spacers before and after the single cog, you will still need the lockring cap.

If you don't use a spacer you won't be able to tighten the cassette cogs down with the lockring. There should be no play at all in the cogs when you tighten the lockring down. If the cogs are loose your shifting will be horrible and the loose cogs will damage the body of the freehub.

I've run into that too with the spacer and Mavic issue. You need to run a spacer on 10spd Shimano cassette stacks if you are using a 8-9-10 compatible freehub body. Shimano made a specific free-hub for 10spd and then includes a 1mm spacer so that you can use the gears on any 8-9-10 freehub...HOWEVER...for whatever reason you need a thicker spacer for the mavic freehub. I didn't have a 2mm spacer so I just used a cog spacer from an old 9spd cassette.

My Ksyriums SSC SLs came with a 2mm spacer and the Shimano 6600 12-27 cassette comes with a 1mm spacer at the rear (see techdocs, and I can confirm the retail package included it). Which one do you have here and which one, or both, should I use? Currently I've removed the Shimano 1mm spacer since it seemed unnecessary, whilst removing the Mavic 2mm spacer caused a peculiar knocking noise under load.

rather download bit defender recovery cd or f-prot on my mac, burn the iso to a cd, then I know that when I stick it into an infected windows machine and boot it (both boot linux with av software), problems are solved. anyways, if you google ultimate boot cd for windows, you get legit sites with tons of non-legit banner ads that confuse people on what they need to download.

Hey Bill, is it possible to remove that humming noise if your video already has music/sound effects in it? Would this also work on video that was shot on an old analog camcorder? Cause the humming on there is really bad. Every vid I've ever shot has had that humming/buzzing noise due to them all being shot using the internal mic of the camcorder. This tutorial was awesome! Thank you so much for posting it. I had a Torx screwdriver I got from a Radio-shack tool kit a long time ago. It fit perfectly! Also, you don't need the cover removing tool if you're really careful with a wide flat screwdriver. Just be cautious because you can make little marks in the sides of the plastic as you twist it to make it pop off (I did, oops)... but it wasn't anything I cant live with. I'm more happy my screen isn't filled with dust than small cosmetics. :)

Yes this will help you to take apart the unit down to the shell. It sounds like you cracked the outside plastic I assume.

I have a CBR600 and my owner's manual says not to let the calipers hang free. I had a couple cardboard boxes in my garage that were just tall enough so I rested the calipers on each box while my wheel was off.

For those that have the R1 like the one in this video - you can loosen the axle bolt by keeping the pinch bolts (allans) completely tightened first. Meaning. Remove the axle bolt first - then the pinch bolts after the axle bolt, then you can push the axle through the other side with a long rod (I used a skinny long scissor blade and a hammer) without a hex key tool Jay mentions. These videos made my day much much easier today. Thanks buy moto.

You didn't mention whether the pinch bolts should be torqued to a specific amount, nor the axle. Should be in the manual, but I'd like to mention that these weren't in the lesson.

With today's shop rate I find that this video is a great tool for doing it myself. I would only add that maybe a light lube to the axle before installing the wheel.

Almost perfect! the only thing negative I would have to say is that you left the brake caliper henging.should support it with zip tie or string. Other than that the best youtube video I've seen yet.

Fog, You're almost there. Once you have removed the screw on one side, you need to loosen the pinch bolts on both forks and using the hex key with a wrench, wiggle the axle out - it will come out with a little elbow grease. Make sure your calipers are off as well.

well so intresting, but i got a 2003 jxsr an the axle has in one side the hole to the hex key but in the other side it has only a hole, which is the nut, son when a try lose it, the axle turn with the nut an i can't remove it, i try by tighten the two litlle screws the ones hold the axle an still the same i hope you can help me up thanks.

hey "J", do I have to grease the front axle like the rear in the other vid? do you recommend pit bull stands(rear spool/non-spool combo & triple tree) out of other manufacturers? is it the best one i can get for those options and an okay price? has yours given you any problems? what options do you suggest for license plate lights (my fender eliminator didn't come w/ one and i don't like the screw-in, watch battery-operated ones)? If you are a "budget" racer, then your track bike might be your street bike as well at which point it must be licensed and insured. Most race bikes that are track use only are not insured. But if you find a company that will insure track bikes, please let us all know! =)
