Youre partially right! He did not come flying over the start/finish line at the straight, so the lap began starting accelerating out at the middle of the straight, and also ended there, while braking down! So in a way it was a full lap, but not a full "Flying" lap!

xgames13 - thank you for explaining that. People have some false notion that all SUV's are good off-road. That is false!! Even the "mighty" Jeep Grand Cherokee's - no longer have locking differentials (not sure about low range transfer case). People don't even know what they are buying. Beside driving off-road and on the street full of snow and ice are not alike either. Those top heavy SUV's are no fun driving on a slippery street.

dracolnyte - I wouldn't drive a quattro with summer tires in this. On all-season I think it would do it. I've taken an A4 Quattro up steep NY hills worse than this on all season tires with the ESP/traction control off. It did it with no big problem....car was easy to control. Even a novice driver with me did it. I'm talking hills - not even driveways.

LOL, okay for the record, I had 9 cars lined up: 3 FWD, 3 RWD, and 3 AWD. Each of the 3 groups had 1 car with summers, 1 with all-seasons, and 1 with winters. But the whole thing backfired: none of the 2wd cars even made it *onto* the driveway, mch less up it. The Metro would have been fun, though, cause I would have had no problem bouncing it off the walls. :)

As I said in a previous comment, I only turned the wheels to keep the Acadia from hitting the walls. (The driveway has a crown, so a sliding car tends toward the sides.) More importanly, your Benz 4Matic doesn't have summer tires. End of story.

Wowzers. If you don't have a boost leak that turbocharger is seriously undersized. Same problem with turbo RX8's. Its hard to get a turbo to keep up with the engine at those high revs. Fast spool though no doubt. That must be a kick ass powerband. The GTI's block is cast iron though, so a bigger turbo and a little more boost shouldn't cause much trouble.

I love RS4's as much as the next man, but its not a racing car. Racing cars don't weight 1650kg. Its an awesome machine but for track work, 4x4 isn't the best, on the edge it is prown to understeer even thought the bias is to the rear wheels. On the road though, especially in bumpy, inconsistent real world back roads, you can't beat this kind of machine. Especially the avant. Supercar performance and enough space for a bike or a snow board.

I understand disparity in-between the "actual" acceleration of the vehicle (equating a foot on the pedal and engine audibles, but no reading on the speedometer) ,to the lag in the speedometer. Although in this vid I believe the driver slightly braked for grip, furthermore leading to my 0-60 reading. All you have shown is that it is more probable that my time could be accurate, after all the gauge is not fast enough so 60mph in "vehicular motion", actually occurs before 60mph on the speedometer.

Well, the m3 would probably run extremely close with the c63 on the track and could quite possibly beat it, the c63 will dominate in a drag. It depends what you want honestly. the c63 offers more comfort for daily driving, but if you want a daily driver go for an ISF...i am good friends with 4 people that have every car in the class (m3,c63,isf and rs4) The isf is the most reliable, the m3 takes turns like god, the c63 makes you shit yourself on a straight away and the rs4 is kinda mixed.

Second the ISF is more powerful, yes it is faster stock but 300$ with Dinan and the M3 will reach at least 200 mph, more technology yes but that's what slows it down i.e the 8 speed gear box that slows, better looking no if you look at any review of the car no one agrees that it looks better, and in terms of quality hell no even though it is a Toyota. No way the M3 is much better then the IS F. The IS F may have more torque but it really gets canceled out considering it's about 150 pounds heavier than the M3 coupe. Plus what bothers me is the fact that the exhaust is not real. Meaning only one set of the dual exhaust actually work.

This is true according to Road and Track Magazine. See page 80 in January 2008's issue. Volume 59, No.5 . It's the issue with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizion preview. Well I guess smaller peashooter exhaust means more backpressure and more torque.. The exhaust still sounds mean though, much better than Infinity.

No man i wasn't saying i would i was saying it as if some one else would. read it again. Of course i would get a GT-R, i'm not a big nissain fan since they fell off, but the GT-R i would. Much rather the skyline and not the water down american verison. My bro did have one, Fast pick up but then lost speed once you got near 55 or 65 around there, but off the go it was quick just very cheap inside and the chairs weren't very good. the 350Z got better seats which is strange.

besides the twin turbo you would have to drop the car put bigger rotors and brakes because the ones that come with the G are horrible. I dont know if you have seen all that dust it makes. Even if you do that you still dont get the same luxury feel like the IS-F man its just different quality too on top of the performance. It just doesn't make any sense to spend the money pushing something that naturally isn't there. If that makes any sense.

People who claim theyd rather have an RS4, have clearly never driven either cars. The RS4 is so damn underwhelming in any gear above 2nd, its actually dissapointing. I drove an RS4 back to back with a 335i V2 vishnu, and the RS4 was so much slower, it was actually quite pathetic. The M3 is a marvellous car with a far more eager engine than the Audi. The Audis only advantage is having great traction in 1st and 2nd gears

Actually, your standard manual tranny is roughly 85-95% efficient, while a manual is around 80-90%, so presumably this car's slushbox isnt too flash in terms of transmission, but then again the AWD system uses an extra few percent.

338 AT THE WHEELS. Lexus GS doesnt have that buddy. Go read about crank vs wheel horsepower, make sure you don't overlook the section about driveline loss (AWD loses more power than F or RWD). The R8 is 420 crank horsepower. Power kept in that range for a specific reason, Lamborghini. Why buy Lambo for so much more if can get Audi version for less? Thankfully they are finally wedging a 5.2 v10 in there. Can't wait for your comment about that one only making 400 wheel horsepower! I kid..

actually the movie was made in 77 yes but the cars were made from mid 70s(76 area) to late 70s(78) so in reality the year doesnt matter an my bad iwas a year off who gives a fuck. the whole point is its not called a bandit trans am as you think it is. its only referred to it as the bandit trans am because of its fame an glory used by burt reynolds.
